When track lighting first became available, it was normally small bulbs on a track. Today, there are a number of different lighting fixtures which are track lighting but nothing like the earlier models. Many of the shades for track lighting are of exquisite design with a variety of materials and colors enhancing almost any room or room design. Track lighting is probably the most versatile of lighting types offering the ability to move the track and fixtures to different areas of the room and leaving no area dark. However, the size of individual lights may also vary, with many track lights using small low wattage bulbs. Even though the lighting fixtures illuminated the room thoroughly, many users found their wattage use was lower. Some of the track lighting offers the feature of a bendable track, making the shape of the track solely up to the discretion of the user. Also see outdoor track lighting. Portfolio Pendant Lights
Portfolio lighting fixtures also come in pendant lighting selections. The pendant light is normally a single fixture that hangs from the ceiling above a table or work area. It normally is between 32 inches and 40 inches above the counter surface, table or desk and often is adjustable to allow for the maximum amount of light when reading and working in the area. Pendant lights come in a variety of sizes, colors and designs. Unlike a chandelier, which has multiple arms and bulbs, there’s only one fixture suspended, but that doesn’t stop it from adding glamour, warmth or distinction to the area. Some of the more interesting Portfolio pendants are in their Camelia collection. These are mini pendants. While many of the collection of pendant lights are for indoor use, portfolio outdoor lighting fixtures can also be pendants. Portfolio Chandeliers
The lighting fixtures are also available as chandeliers. The number of arms and lights on a chandelier will vary by the design. Portfolio offers chandeliers with the number of lights varying from three upward. The chandelier can add elegance, strength or dimension to any room as it lights up the area. The materials used to create the various chandeliers vary as much as the styles of the rooms they may grace. You can find them in bronze, antique white, aged iron, wrought iron and more with the shades on the lights varying even more in color and design. Many people use the chandelier style as the focal point for the middle of the room. Portfolio Sconces
Portfolio lighting fixtures also include sconces to grace any wall and add a bit of romance to the room. Sconces are especially useful to illuminate dark wall areas without adding an overwhelming amount of light. They can have a single bulb or contain several on different arms. Many of the sconces are reminiscent of days gone by with the look of the antique candle sconce of old. However, you can find designs that are more modern also. Portfolio Outdoor Lighting Fixtures
Whether you’re lighting a garden walk or the front door, Portfolio lighting fixtures meet your outdoor lighting requirements. There are motion-detecting lights, solar accent lights and even entryway lights to make the area outside your home as safe and attractive as the interior.
